George is the kind of player percussionists call a "groover" or a "pocket" player. He comes to every gig ready to wail and prepared to throw his thing down, come hell or high water. The "marcha" is considered the main glue that binds the salsa rhythm section together and when the marcha swings the whole band is elevated to a different level of inspiration and excellence. George Delgado has the meanest marcha on the planet. Of course George can play solo breaks with the best of them but his magic dust is in keeping the whole machine firing on all cylinders.
